Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Surveillance as a Service (CBRN SaaS)

The CBRN Surveillance as a Service (CBRN SaaS) will establish a persistent and distributed manned-unmanned sensor network consisting of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and Unmanned Ground Systems (UGS) that will be interoperable with legacy systems to provide a Recognized CBRN Picture to augment existing Common Operational Pictures used for EU missions and operations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

CBRN SaaS takes recourse to a manned-unmanned sensor network to bolster persistent surveillance and provide a new sensing capacity beyond the current reach of CBRN sensors. All of this strengthens force protection and survivability, which in turn improves operational efficiency and effectiveness. By pooling different assets to provide the Recognized CBRN Picture, surveillance can be shared as a service with an international community of interest in need of this critical capability.
