The primary objective of the project is to produce a comprehensive feasibility study of the existing EU electronic warfare (EW) capabilities and the gaps that need to be filled. The findings of the feasibility study should potentially lead to the adoption of joint EW concept of operations (CONOPS). The CONOPS might include joint training of EW experts and, if agreed upon by the MS, the establishment of a joint EW unit.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project focuses on conducting a comprehensive feasibility study in the EW domain that would describe and evaluate the existing EW capabilities of the participating PESCO Member States, identify missing capabilities/gaps and produce a set of recommendations regarding the possible use and development of the EW capabilities to enhance mutual interoperability and cooperation in future operations.

OBJECTIVES/PRODUCTS

The primary objective of the project is to produce a comprehensive feasibility study of the existing European Union (EU) EW capabilities and the gaps that need to be filled. The findings of the feasibility study should potentially lead to the adoption of the joint EW concept of operations (CONOPS). The CONOPS may include joint training of EW experts and, if agreed upon by the member states, the establishment of a joint combined EU EW Task Force.
